Fashion accessories that complement what you wear can do wonders when it comes to dressing for an occasion

Mona Shroff, an accessory designer from Hong Kong, recently showcased her collection at the PFMI swimwear round that took place in Goa. Her beachwear collection was the highlight of the show.

Says creative director, Marc Robinson of PFMI, “I am delighted to be working with Mona this year for the subcontest crowning show. Her limited edition of jewellery has added a lot of style and life to the collection of garments as the 20 beautiful contestants for PMFI 2012 sashayed down the runway in sunny Goa.”

Mona always had a dream to market, under her brand’s label, Mona Shroff Jewellery, that she has designed and created. She launched her brand at Lakme Fashion Week Spring-Summer edition in March 2012, in Mumbai.

The designer has been in the jewellery business for the past 18 years and has created in-house accessory labels for reputed department stores across Europe, including Selfridges (London) and Gallerie Lafayatte (Paris), and a total of 28 department stores in the Middle-East. Based upon these experiences, she has now created her own vintage and classic design lines that comprise 14-18-carat gold plated jewellery using semi-precious stones, man-made diamonds (Cubic Zirconia) and Swarovski crystals.
